Nov 6 Race Day
On November 6, 2010 there will be THREE great races in downtown Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon and the brand new Monumental 5k distance. Last year’s IMM brought together more than 5,800 participants from seven foreign countries and 46 states.
The beautiful course is flat and fast and a good Boston Marathon qualifier. The Monumental starts and finishes near the Indiana State Capitol Building in downtown Indianapolis. Course highlights include beautiful monuments, Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the Indianapolis Colts), the Arts Garden, the Mass Ave cultural district, beautiful neighborhoods, Broad Ripple, Butler University, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and more.
Meeting at the Riviera Club, you will be training on the Monon Trail, the Canal Towpath and all around Midtown!

Meet The Coaches
Alex Adams has been coaching for 20+ years. He has run in over 20 Marathons, including the New York City and Boston Marathons. Alex believes strongly in coaching and training, stating that “Everybody needs coaching. In everything I’ve done in my life, I’ve received the best coaching and training possible.”
Julie Patterson is the Executive Director of the Monumental Marathon and appears on WISH TV’s Daybreak! Julie has long been an athlete but never thought about running until 8 years ago when a friend inspired her by running the Mini Marathon. She signed up for a running class, met Alex and has been running ever since. Since then Julie has run three Marathons including two in Boston.
