White River Rugby Football Club

Spring conditioning has started for White River RFC at IPS George Washington Community High School in Indianapolis.

Short history of club:

White River Rugby Football Club has been around since 1999.  In the club’s earlier years, they were a tough-minded motley group that traveled across the Midwest playing whoever would take them.  In 2004, the club revamped and joined a strong Midwest league.  In their first year, they made the playoffs and have continued to

be a strongly recognized club throughout the Midwest consistently competitive for playoff eligibility.  What’s better is that we have STRONG NATIONAL SPONSORS that allow for fun team gear, travel, and camaraderie.

The season is broken up into three parts:

• Spring is reserved for tournaments, social games, and playoff games and generally runs from early March through June.
• Summer is for Sevens, a faster paced version of the game with only 7 players instead of 15’s and runs June through August.
• Fall is for League Play and runs from August through October.

ALL IN ALL WRRFC IS ACTIVE FOR 7 MONTHS OF THE YEAR PLAYING TUESDAY & THURSDAY PRACTICES.

• Three coaches allow for equal time spent with veterans and rookies
• Coaches combined to have played on 5 continents, been Select Squad, USA All-American, and have over 70 years of rugby experiences
• White River focuses on positive encouragement and works on a steady B schedule so everyone can play
